Sonic Generations

Landon 6/10
Maybe I'm being a little harsh. But "Sonic Unleashed" had pretty spectacular pure Sonic gameplay and levels that never let up. So I went into "Sonic Generations" fully expecting Sega to have finally gotten it right. Unfortunately, this is not the case. The idea of two Sonics feels more like a gimmick, the levels are just copy and paste from past games making it feel very unoriginal, and voice acting and dialogue is just flat-out awful. However, Generations does retain some of Unleashed's awesome gameplay, and about half of the levels are actually a ton of fun. Some of the best levels are from Sonic games made before "Sonic Adventure 2" (with the exception of Sonic Unleashed). If you enjoy Sonic games as much as the next guy, then you will have fun with this game. But I'm still waiting for the perfect Sonic game to finally come along.
